vovo.ai ("vovo", "we") provides an AI receptionist service for small businesses: it answers calls and chats, books appointments, and passes messages to the business. Questions about this policy or your data: sales@vovo.ai.

Business owners sign in with an email magic link or with Google. With Google sign-in we receive only your name, email address, and profile basics needed to create and secure your account — nothing else from your Google account.

From business owners: your account email, the business profile you configure (name, hours, services, staff, contact details), your notification preferences, and billing records. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers.

From callers and customers of the businesses Vovo answers for: when you talk to Vovo, your audio is streamed to our voice-AI infrastructure so she can hear and answer; conversations may be transcribed and summarized so the business receives its bookings and messages. When you book or leave a message we collect the details you give — typically your name, phone number, email, and the reason for your visit. Chat-widget conversations and SMS replies are stored so Vovo can keep context.

Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) needed to run, rate-limit, and secure the service.

Businesses can optionally connect their Google Calendar. If you do, we store the authorization Google gives us, create and update calendar events for appointments Vovo books, and read your free/busy times so booked-up slots are not offered to callers. We read free/busy status only — not the contents of your other events. You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard or from your Google account settings, which revokes our access.

vovo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the calendar features you asked for — never for advertising, never sold, and never read by humans except for security, support you request, or legal compliance.

With your consent, Vovo sends appointment texts on behalf of the business you booked with — confirmations, reminders, changes, review requests, and occasional "come back" notes from businesses you have visited before. Message and data rates may apply and frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Texting is optional and never required to book.

Subscriptions and booking deposits are processed by Stripe. When a business requires a booking deposit, your payment is collected through a secure Stripe checkout; we receive confirmation that the deposit was paid, not your card details. Refunds of deposits are governed by the business you booked with.

We use a small number of service providers, each receiving only what it needs: ElevenLabs (voice AI), Anthropic (chat AI), Supabase (database and sign-in), Hostinger (hosting), Stripe (payments), Twilio (calls and SMS), Resend (email), and Google (sign-in and calendar sync, when you use them). Our analytics are cookie-free and do not track you across sites.

Business account data is kept while the account is active and deleted on request. Call logs, transcripts, chats, and booking records are kept as long as needed to provide the service to the business and then removed. Google Calendar authorizations are deleted immediately when you disconnect.

You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the data we hold about you — whether you are a business owner or someone who called or booked with a business Vovo answers for. Email sales@vovo.ai and we will act on the request promptly.

The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only what is technically necessary is stored in your browser — your sign-in session, and (in the chat widget) your conversation so it survives a page refresh, kept for at most two hours.

vovo is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Meaningful changes will be highlighted on the site.
